✅ What you'll be doing:

This role will report directly to the CEO and COO and will play an integral role in setting the vision and executing a best-in-class customer retention strategies and programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving customer engagement, retention, and loyalty while owning customer churn and LTV metrics.

As our Director of Lifecycle, you'll immerse yourself in DTC and B2B companies we work with, leveraging your expertise to develop and execute cutting-edge strategies to drive client retention and brands growth.
You'll take the lead in identifying, by cohort, lifecycle roadmaps, email and SMS strategies ,personalization triggers, and the right cross-sells, up-sells, and win-backs tailored to each brand segments. You'll work hand-in-hand, cross-functionally with our team across marketing, creative, and operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment with overall growth goals.

  1. Develop and Own DTC Lifecycle Marketing Strategies:
    • Take ownership of lifecycle marketing strategies for a diverse portfolio of e-commerce brands spanning various verticals such as apparel, accessories, health & wellness, beauty and cosmetics, food & beverage, Telehealth, etc.
    • Strategize, implement, and oversee email and SMS campaigns and advanced automations aimed at driving significant revenue.
    • Develop strategies to drive retention through subscriptions, loyalty, memberships and referral programs.
    • Oversee the design and execution of loyalty programs, referral initiatives, and other customer engagement tactics to foster long-term relationships and maximize customer lifetime value.
  2. Innovative Targeting Strategy:
    • Conceptualize and implement innovative targeting strategies based on customer lifecycle segmentation, predictive analytics, A/B testing, funnel position, and RFM analysis.
    • Continuously refine targeting approaches to optimize customer engagement and drive revenue.
  3. Performance Measurement and Optimization:
    • Continuously measure, analyze and optimize campaign and flow performances, establishing benchmarks and recommending future tests to enhance effectiveness and targeting.
    • Analyze, track, and interpret data to communicate performance insights clearly and validate strategies aimed at achieving customer acquisition, retention, conversion, and growth goals.
  4. Leadership and Talent Development:
    • Lead, develop, and retain talent within the lifecycle marketing department, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence and providing world-class client services.
    • Provide mentorship and thought leadership to team members, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
    • Help increase company clients LTV by building and maintaining client relationships and reducing churn.
  5. Process Improvement and Implementation:
    • Architect, build and implement systems and processes to enhance team effectiveness and fulfillment efficiency.
    • Ensure consistency in results across the department and client accounts by establishing standardized workflows and best practices.

This role requires a go and grow getter, a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of lifecycle marketing principles and e-commerce, strong leadership skills, and a track record of driving significant revenue growth through innovative marketing strategies.

⭐️ Requirements:
  • Operate within company hours: Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm ET / PT.
  • Attend client meetings with the email marketing managers (PST and EST time zones)
  • US Based
  • 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing and customer retention with a proven track record.
  • 2+ years of people management experience with a proven track record of leading, developing, and scaling effective high-performance teams with exceptionally strong leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of marketing, sales funnels, and customer journeys and how to effectively use these in lifecycle marketing strategies with industry best practices.
  • Expertise in managing platforms and ESPs, ideally (Klaviyo, Hubspot, Braze… etc).
  • Experience with Attentive or other SMS platforms.
  • Experience and understanding of reporting platforms such as  Tydo, Tableau, Google Analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to spearhead revenue growth through strategic marketing initiatives, as evidenced by case studies.
  • Equipped to provide direct contacts and references from previous employers, managers, and brands with whom you've collaborated.
